Custom Work Policy

We guarantee our work when the firearm is shot with factory ammunition.We cannot guarantee our work with non-commercially reloaded ammunition

General Info

If you would like to have the C&S logo etched onto your firearm, please request this. We do not apply our logo unless specifically requested.

Stippling or checkering on an alloy frame will require additional finish work such as Cerakote, and is an additional expense.

We do not remove barrels from alloy frame revolvers as in our experience there is a very high probability the frame will crack. This applies to work such as setting the barrel back to tighten up the barrel to cylinder gap

Our standard test fire fee is $ 44.50 and this applies to the majority of the work we do as we make sure that your firearm is working properly before it leaves our shop

When sending your pistol in please remember to send in a gun lock to satisfy ATF regulations. The lock does not need to be applied, it just needs to be included

When ordering custom or repair work on line, keep in mind that we are booked ahead and we will call for your pistol when we are ready to take your pistol in

Custom slide work done on pistols with a blackened stainless steel slides (such as Kahr) need to have additional finish work performed, please let us know ahead of time so we can discuss this with you.

Cylinder and Slide parts purchased from Brownells, Midway, or others, need to be returned to whom you purchased them from. We cannot accept returns directly if you purchased them from 3rd party vendors

If requesting custom work that requires Cylinder and Slide to source an outside vendor, such as Tritium sight inserts, Accurails, or engraving, please keep in mind that we have no control over the time needed to perform such work once the pistol leaves our property. There will be additional time needed to allow these vendors to perform their work. Please contact us to find out what the lead times might be. To give a rough idea, Tritium sight inserts and Accurails can take up to 3 months, and custom engraving can take in excess of 8 months.

Shipping to and from an outside vendor is paid by the customer requesting the work

For customers requesting Electroless Nickel, NP3, NP3+, and/or ArmorLube coating customers: Coating Technologies cannot coat anodized aluminum or titanium frames. We have a minimum amount of work before we can send projects to Coating Technologies, this means the time can vary greatly before we can ship your project in.

We request a $ 50.00 deposit when starting a ticket, reserving your name and getting in line for custom work. Ticket cancellations will be subject to a $ 10.00 fee to cover administrative costs and fees associated with refunding the balance of your deposit.

We encourage you to feel comfortable using your credit card to conduct commerce on our site. If you wish, you may also send us a Postal Order (only) or a personal cheque. Personal cheques will delay your order as we must wait for your funds to clear before we ship any merchandise.

Please allow an additional 7-10 business days for shipping of your merchandise if paid by personal check. To order by cheque, just print the order form with your shopping cart contents from the order confirmation page and complete the necessary fields, then mail the form to the address above.

Return / Refund Policy

Every item we sell is carefully inspected before it is shipped. If you are not satisfied with the goods and inform us within seven days of your receipt of the goods, we will arrange to collect them (the whole order) and give a full refund. Or we will exchange items if they are faulty on delivery to you and we are notified within 10 days of the customers receipt of the product. All products to be returned must be carefully repackaged in their original packing. Please note Cylinder and Slide will not accept returns that have been modified or fitted. Small cosmetic marks from installation are acceptable for returning.

Delivery charges are calculated on a per-product basis. Please make note of the delivery charges associated with each item.

Prices

Prices are correct at time of publication. Errors and omissions are excepted. Orders will be processed at our published prices, otherwise, in the case of any unexpected change in price, you will be informed and asked if you wish to reconsider your order before proceeding.

Complaints

If we should receive a complaint about any part of our service, by phone, e-mail or letter,then it will be dealt with promptly (we will reply within 5 working days). It will then be dealt with confidentially, and effectively.
